Time for a Party

A new party. Or perhaps a minor party being turned into a major.

The Libertarians have it pretty right… None of the parties really represent evangelical America, so we might as well run the country like the founding fathers intended… small and non-interfering.

The Libertarians are the only party that runs with that platform. Clearly the Democrats and Republicans are both on a spending spree. Power corrupts. It’s very evident that our two party system is a total fiasco.

Ross Perot practically won as a reform party candidate, and frankly would have been far better than either of the other candidates. At least the economy would have been tended to properly. The Dems promise to raise taxes to balance the budget, the Republicans don’t even want to attempt to balance it.

We need less government.

Libertarians for 2008.

Well said. Or maybe, just maybe, elected representatives should actually…represent, instead of lie to get elected and then ravage the nation. Oh, yeah, and the judicial activists would have to be executed, or at least be made to read the constitution (while not on drugs or alcohol) two or three times before they “interpret” it. Otherwise, Dems or Reps, we will have no representative democracy!

I disagree Ricky. I see more and more folks who are disgusted with both the Democrats and the Republicans.

In Texas, we had 4 contenders for governor…a Republican, a Democrat, an Independent (former Republican) and Kinky. And Kinky got 11% of the vote.

The time of additional parties is coming. I WILL be checking out the non-traditional candidates and may be voting for someone without a major party label.

Syn, Kinky got 11% of the vote because he was a nut and people voted for him, not because they liked his politics but because Texans like an underdog. That’s coming from a boy who was raised and bred in Texas.

People are disgusted with politicians in general. Republicans definitly dropped the ball and they got a little kick in the head because of it.

But I think your gonna see them heading back to what got them elected in the first place. Small goverment. Tax cuts and defense. Personally I think the dems winning this election will do wonders for a conservative in 08.

But there will never be enough people crazy enough to let a Libertarian run this country. They lack direction and any kind of moral stance. They are the pot heads of the political scene.
