I’m sure you’ve heard that in Mexico they’ve had almost 2,000 cases of swine flu, and around 80 deaths. As of today, there are about 20 cases in the US, all of which appear to have been people who traveled to Mexico.
Unfortunately it seems that at least 2 cases have popped up in Kansas. That’s too close for comfort when it comes to population-destroying plagues.
My question is, why are so many Mexicans making out with pigs? Just as AIDS started in the monkey population in Africa, it begs the question – what the heck are you doing to get a swine-specific disease passed on to you?! I don’t want to be judgmental, but even if you got it from being a pig farmer – doesn’t that mean you didn’t wash your hands after messing with the pigs?
The CDC has said the best way to prevent swine flu is to wash your hands and don’t make out with sick people.
We’ve only known that for the past 300 years.
