If you take from someone or from lots of people and you find that you’re never doing anything for them, you are a selfish jerk. You might have other mental disorders, too, but you’re definitely selfish.

If you think you’re entitled to another person’s hard-earned money, whether you feel entitled because they are family, or because you think they have “too much money” or because you used to be married to them, or whatever… you’re a selfish jerk.

If you wake up in the morning and go through the entire day and never once think “hmmm, I wonder if I should do something for someone else in this world today,” you might be a selfish jerk. You’re certainly self absorbed.

I’m not implying you should go around looking for people to do favors for or give money to. I’m saying, stop putting yourself first 1000% of the time.

Maybe the fact that you exist and so does another person does NOT entitle you to anything from that person. Go take care of yourself. Earn your own income (children are the obvious exception). Eat your own food. Drive your own car. Pay your own way. If you’re on hard times, ask for help, but don’t EVER forget that you were helped, and when you get the chance, either repay the help or pay it forward.

There are four things in this world I hate more than anything:

1. Cruelty
2. Selfishness
3. Complaining
4. Injustice

If you are a perpetrator of these 4 things, chances are I will avoid you at all costs.

If you can’t be bothered to every consider anyone else on the planet, at least have the common decency not to be a drag on anyone else. If you want to be selfish, fine. But don’t ask anyone else to do anything or help you in any way.

PS. If you owe me money, please pay up. I’m tired of your whining, crying, excuses, and BS. Be an adult.

That is all.

I don’t know if I owe you money or not since you haven’t responded to either my emails or my comments about my website disappearing! 🙁

For the record though, my income has averaged $25K for the past 3 years … and the IRS wants $5K of that from me with interest and penalties continuing to accrue! My meagre earnings from truly miserable temp assignments where they treat you like crap qualified me for unemployment insurance at times, but I get taxed on that “insurance” so it sure feels like a double dip!
