Yup, yet another joyous semester of school is out. And for the first time in a long time, the stuff I learned is actually going to be applicable to my actual job. What are the odds of that?
Oh, and that paper I worked on forever, I just received an email from my professor… see for yourself:

A great paper – an A paper. I do not have the rest of my grade book at home,
so I do not recall how you did on the midterm. If you had an A (( I did indeed have an A. )), then obviously
you will have an A in the class. The project will offset any of the
deficiencies in homework – an A paper means an A for homework.
Great Job and I will look forward to talking with you about your project when I
complete the rest of the grading process.
P.S. Typically, there are not many A papers – so you should feel very good about
Yup… I’m a rock star. When it comes to applied mathematics, anyway. I’m not exactly a genius when it comes to certain other things (like being sociable) but hey… I gots to be me.
Now there’s nothing to do but kick back and catch up on some cheesy action movies, eat pop tarts, and get some extra sleep for the next month.
And in other news, tonight is “Torture Night” at my house. Torture Night is not what you might think at first glance. Torture Night was invented by Jenna and I and was the answer to our vastly different movie preferences. On Torture Night, we each choose a movie of our liking, and we both watch both movies. If I pick a particularly bloody, scary, or violent movie, she’ll pick an extra sappy love story, most likely set in the Victorian era. I have a feeling Torture Night will ultimately end up with each of us trying to torture the other as much as possible, but who knows… maybe we’ll both take mercy on each other.
