Peace

We’re talking about personal peace. Are you constantly in emotional upheaval? Is everything a reason to get upset?

Sorry to say, but that’s a strong indication that you’re not a Christian. Ouch again!

You might be a Christian that’s not living a life of faith. Which begs the question “What’s the point?”

Like joy, peace comes from being on the right track. If you are ignoring what you’re called to be or do, you’re going to be unsettled. Nothing will fix it except getting yourself going in the right direction. I’ve certainly experienced the unsettled feeling of being on the wrong track.

So why do we stay on the wrong track if it makes us feel icky?

Because it’s easy. Staying on the same (wrong) track is easier in the short term than switching to the right track. Sadly, easy in the short term is one of the main reasons that the world sucks.

Get in tune with what you’re actually supposed to be doing with your life, and you will have peace.

And once you have personal peace, you will find it easy to live at peace with others.

I will disagree with you on one point, Incredipete. Being without peace does not make anyone a non-Christian. It may be that they do not at the moment have their spiritual fruit ripened for that particular harvest season. But, certainly, it is ALWAYS better to live at peace with God, with ourselves, and with one another. Not being at peace is one of the most depressing ways to exist. Anyway, those are my two cents worth…Christen
