I May Be Dying, But I Feel Happy!

I feel hideous.

And high.

Yes, I have been sick for over a week. To the point where I nearly took myself to the ER, except I was talked out of it by mom and “Ask-A-Nurse” hotline. Apparently there’s not much they could do, except perhaps give me an IV with fluids and try to keep the fever down.

I went to urgent care last Sunday and got antibiotics, and instructions to use Tylenol as a fever reducer. However, Wednesday I still had not improved at all, so I went to my real doctor, at the urging of my dad. He told me I was on the right track with the antibiotic, but he took mercy on me and gave me Vicoden. So although the fever is still going strong, my throat is nearly swollen shut, and my eyes are glassy, I don’t care because the Vicoden makes me loopy.

The doctor told me if I don’t feel better by this Sunday, I should have him paged. Great.

Anyway, the result of this, combined with last month’s sinus infection, I have been forced to drop my classes for the semester. Yes, that’s about 7 weeks down the drain, along with a couple thousand bucks. I’d be a lot more sad about it…

… but I’m strangely at ease with it.

Thank you, Vicoden.

Surely the company of a certain Lady helps to ease JUST a little bit too???

    😉

You poor thing! Jenna, do you want my recipe for home-made chicken and rice soup?

    Feel better soon, Sicky.

Well of course you’re at ease with it. You have someone there to occupy that freed up time with besides those bitches Abby and Amber (ha… I so rarely use the term bitch literally).

I wish I knew what the big deal was with vicodin. If I take even half of one, I pass out for six hours, so I don’t even get to enjoy the pain killer buzz. Dammit. I don’t get to have any fun – unless you count dressing my cat up in costumes. That’s fun, right? RIGHT??

    Bird flu? SARS?
I’ll give you the same advice i gave Teets and Myra. Take a shot of something 40 proof or higher, every 2 hours. Drink water too. Stop when you feel better or have to go to work.
I mean, stop when you have to go to work.

Vicodin…gods gift to scholars and actors everywhere. Be thankful you at least remember why you are dropping the semester. I once stopped going because I was too drunk to find my classes for a solid month.

I paid later, but I…wait, did I pay, shit who fucking knows, Pass the bong fuckers!!

So sorry you’re sick Incredipete. Do NOT take tylenol with the vicodin. It already has tylenol in it.

    Mmmmmm. Vicodin.

Sorry to hear you aren’t feeling well. Hope you get better soon! Drink lots of clear fluids, get your rest, and take your meds. Oh great, now I sound like my mother. 🙂

    Directions:
Sing to self while high on vicoden.

“”Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe:
    All mimsy were the horogoves,
    and the mome raths outgrabe.”

Then, if you’re feeling brave, try to disappear before Jenna’s eyes. Now THAT would be trippy.
