So this morning my commute started off on a very strange note. I pulled off my street, and around the corner there was a sheriff hiding behind his car, pointing a shotgun at me. Needless to say, I rolled down my window so I could let him know that “hey, I live right there!” (points to house)
As I started driving, there were cops every 10 yards, and they all had their guns drawn. I finally made it the two blocks to Mur-Len, and there were about half a dozen cops with their guns drawn, thankfully pointed away from me. They forced me to turn, and as soon as I did, I saw the mobile police command unit and SWAT. I counted 40 police/sheriff/trooper vehicles before I gave up.
I finally found a radio station that was talking about it, and it turns out there was a robbery/hostages/high-speed chase/gunfight. Here’s the story.
So what I’ve learned is that even when you’re a good guy, it’s freaky to have a cop pointing a gun at you first thing in the morning.
Peace, I’m out.
