I’ve been lax in my updating. I could blame the fact that I’m newly married or that I have 5 pets, or that I work a full time job that includes running a second company’s operations, or that I run side businesses for photography and for web design, or I could blame the fact that I teach at UMKC in the evenings, or that I play in the church band. However, I won’t make excuses. I have been bad about updating, and as a result, you, the loyal reader, have been slighted.
Some of you have given up, and left for greener pastures. Some check back daily and are crushed. Some of you actually subscribe to my notifications, so you have the benefit of not wasting your time checking unless there really is a new post. But they’ve been too infrequent. My average of 6 posts a month just isn’t going to get the job done.
I realized something else, part of my problem is feeling that each and every post solve a world problem. Yet, I don’t know why I’ve burdened myself with this task. Surely there are more qualified people out there who can fix everything. Like Obama (assuming popularity is synonymous with qualification).
I also seemed to have lost some of my bitterness, and I don’t know why. I like to think that I’m both truculent and perspicacious, even if my spell checker DOESN’T know those words. There’s no reason I can’t be bitter AND witty.
So that is my goal. And I’m going to hit the ground running hard, so buckle up.
I will be updating every day in March, and each post will be filled with witty truculence and perspicaciousness. I’ll be tackling some of the most important issues of the day, like whether Rihanna should take back Chris Brown, and whether or not illegal immigrants should be allowed NOT to work. I will boldly post entries which will be construed as sexist, racist, ignorant, and cruel. However, be forewarned that these accusations will fall on deaf ears. Incidentally, I will probably make fun of deaf people at some point during the month. It’s pretty much inevitable.
So warn your friends and make sure NetNanny is protecting your children from my site.
